Try using the Windows Printer Update. Go to Devices and Printers -&gt; Add a Printer -&gt; Local -&gt; Use exisitng port -&gt; Next. &nbsp;Note the Windows Update button beside Have Disk. Click on that, wait, then cancel when you see &nbsp;the updated list of printers. Restart and try connecting the network printer again. <br />

I've got a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit computer that is having problems installing network printers. &nbsp;I get following error when I try to install a network printer<br />

Windows cannot connect to the printer<br />

I've got a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit computer that is having problems installing network printers.  I get following error when I try to install a network printer

Connect to Printer
Windows cannot connect to the printer
Operation failed with error 0x000000c1

I have tried to install another model printer connected to a different computer and get the same error message.  All computers are Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Any ideas?
