Email gets "stuck" in outbox of Outlook 2003

Hi All.

Outlook 2003 running on Vista Home Premium SP2.
Not running on Exchange Server.
Using Pop3 email accounts.

Email stuck in Outbox.
I tried opening the email and clicking send again, then send/receive.
Doesn't work.

Email does not have an attachment.

This problem is intermittent.

Thoughts?
Thanks
Butch

Just a quick question... you don't happen to have any send delay rules setup in your Outlook Rules and Alerts, do you?

So this happens for any email you send?
Can you receive email?
Was the email just setup?

ButchDogAuthor Commented:
No send delay rules.
It only happens with some emails once in awhile.
I can receive email just fine.
This email account, and a few others, were set up some time ago (a year?) and have been working fine until recently.

Does this happen for other users?

There is only one user.
Standalone Outlook on single Toshiba Laptop.

Do you have the mail setup on another computer?
Might want to try a repair install of Office.

ButchDogAuthor Commented:
Okay.
Now NONE of the email is going out.
I did a detect/repair.
No luck.

I'm working remotely so I cannot do a manual reinstall/repair.

What else can I try?

OK.
Update.

I have another version of outlook on my home pc.
Same email addresses, but entirely different system.
Emails are still stuck on my system.
That would suggest a problem with the email server?

Sometimes, the email entered in the address book cash is faulty.

Therefore, when you start typing an email address and Outlook suggests emails (comming from that cash), you may decide to choose an email from that suggested list.

Soing so, it jamms the Outbox!!!

I would say, doubleckick on each email address on the address bars and kame sure the email addresses are ok. This way, you may find the one that is faulty. Like for example, you see the name but not the email address.

You may even try to delete all the email address and select them from your Address book.

Actually there are 3 emails stuck as of now.
All 3 different addresses.
I know at least one email address was entered via cut and paste from customer database.

if you tried to delete / creat a new  email account and still having the same problem ,problems not from your side its ISP Problem .you need to speak to them.

Amiruk is right in some circomstances. Make sure you do what i suggested before wasting an hour arguing with your ISP tech guy.

Cause the problem may not be in the email account in your address book. It may be with your email address cash. That cash is what automatically suggests email addresses while you type then in your email address bas: TO, CC, BCC

None of these answers solved my problem.
Fixed it myself.
