How do I create an optional parameter in CR XI?

I created a boolean parameter and when It is "true", I want to pull only those records with a "1" in a certain field, but if it is "false", I want to pull all of the records.  The book I have talks about optional parameters, but I do not think that is an option in CR XI.

    Accepted Solution

Optional parameters were added in CR2008 (CR 12).  CR XI doesn't support them.

    Create a parameter
    In the selection formula use

    If {?YourParameter} then
       {YourField} = '1'
