I am trying to append data to file A_1.  The syntax below is not working.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

 spool C:\A_1.txt
SELECT
*
FROM
a_1 A
/
spool OFF;

spool C:\A_1.txt append
SELECT
*
FROM

I believe append is a 10g new feature.

Just don't spool off.

spool C:\A_1.txt
SELECT
*
FROM
a_1 A
/
SELECT
*
FROM
a_2 A
/
spool OFF;
