Exchange 2007.  Through the Exchange management shell I renewed my self signed certificate.   However the Outlook clients still get a out of date message.  What more do I need to do?

have you followed this, by testing new certificate and removing the old

Granular recovery for Microsoft Exchange

With Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange you can choose the Exchange Servers and restore points you’re interested in, and Veeam Explorer will present the contents of those mailbox stores for browsing, searching and exporting.

You may also want to check the date and the time of the user who's trying to access Exchange. This happens when the time and or date is wrong.

Get-ExchangeCertificate |FL

lists all certificates

Remove-ExchangeCertificate –Thumbprint “58C846DEEA2865CA9E6DD4B42329A9AC994EBF63”

but you need to use the correct thumbprint
