Printing from Samba through win7 pc's

I am replacing windows XP computers with Windows 7 PC's. These PC's are on a network that has a linux server using Samba 2.0.7 installed on a Redhat 7.1 Server printing to a shared printer on the PC. I have the settings the same but I am getting authentication errors when sending a print job. What is different in Windows 7 that prevents it from logging in and and how can I corrent it.

Could you please show us your smb.conf.
Could you please try this and update if it works for you.

On your windows 7 box.

1.from the run command or from a cmd window run secpol.msc
2.go to “Local Policies” -> “Security Options” -> “Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level”
3.change to “LM and NTLM – use NTLMV2 session security if negotiated”
4.Press the OK button

I apologize, I got it to work after finding the name of the computer had changed slightly. Once that was corrected in the hosts and the .config file it worked perfectly.
