Question regarding now() for mysql
Suppose I have 2 servers. One is where the script is located and the other where the mysql server is located.
If my script runs a query that uses the mysql now() function, does mysql get the date on the script server or the mysql server?

since now() is an SQL function it will be executed by the MySQL server
