CLONEZILLA restore image and re-join to win2003 domain

Hello to All,
on a large LAN (600 pc) with windows xp sp3 and windows 2003 r2 network, I've saved the image with clonezilla on usb disks. However when I try to restore one of pc, the logon authentication fails due to, I suppose, sid not restored.
Now my question is: log on as local administrator, should be enough re join onto domain using the standard procedure on System Properties (button Change for renaming or join to domain) ?
Or need to run sysprep in any case ? I need only restore the pc from image previously created
(one per pc).
Thanks in advance and Best Regards.

ASKER

Thank you very much but I'm quite happy with clonezilla and I have 600 pcs with images saved on usb disks for quick recovery. I'm not interest in other solution, for the moment
Sorry, I posted on wrong question.

Thanks

Thanks for links but as ms mentioned I would like not using external links
Sorry I mean no external tools.
What do you mean by external tool?
It from Microsoft itself.
User generated image
Or else you have to use Sysprep
