I have had a user report a problem this morning viewing a webpage on their new Android Tablet, the webpage has a textarea box and contains a lot of text, normally when viewing it from a pc browser you get a scroll bar appear on the right hand side to allow you to scroll down to view the rest of the text, however when viewing it through the browser on an Android Tablet the scrollbar is not visible and as a result you cannot scroll down.

When viewing on a PC in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome it works fine. It also works fine on the iPad and iPhone, but when viewing from an Android Tablet, Phone or Android Emulator the same thing happens which is no scrollbar.

I would appreciate your input on this.

well, the usual behaviour for Android controls in such case is to show a scrollbar only when you touch it and 'scroll' by finger
