Hi all,

im trying to get my roaming profiles environment fully setup

whats confusing me is there is GPOs for offline files and then therse the offline sync centre on the os that doesnt seem to listen to the gpos, are they seperate entities?

i need to make the users profile to be synced (incase the file server is offline)
whats the best way to do this and how do i set it up with no errors or things going wrong?

currently ive had to go into each machine manually and disable offline sync in the sync centre as some of the shares and the users desktops keep going offline and are unable to retrive, turning syn center off seems to fix it

i set the low bandwidth offline GPO to 100000000 so it shouldnt have any problems, didnt do anything, infact all the gpos that i presumed would help dont do anything the folders still go offline! :S

so i need to setup the sync correctly, thanks for any help

ok i read that before yeah, and ive done what it said, now do i need to turn back on the sync center on each machine then set it up to sync the users folder?

i tried using gpo to control sync center before but it didnt seem to do anything

I would try that with just a few users to begin with first.  Make sure the gpo is set back to not configured then do a gpupdate /force on the client machine and see what happens.

ive found when a file server is rebooted if a user has their machine on, the status of the share goes offline (slow connection) even when the server comes back up, where is this handled?
