Active Directory Users - Disappearing Check Box to Inherit Permissions

I have a handfull of users in AD where if I go to ADUC and go the the users Security tab, under advanced and click "include inheritable permissions for parent" all is good for a service account granted write permissions 2 OU's above to write to the user object. After about an hour, the check box disappears and no longer inherits the permissions from it's parent. The odd thing too is that these users are all in Information Technology.

What could possibly cause the check box to go away by itself?
