How to control the Page Breaks in a Cross Tab?

Hi,

I have a Crystal Report, which is made into a Cross Tab. This Cross Tab has 3 levels.
But when i exported the report to Microsoft Excel(97-2000), it is page breaking somewhere in the middle and the headers are repeated in the next page. Is there a way, i can overcome this issue? Please advise.

Attaching the report.

I don't think there is a way to control the page breaks

In the cross tab expert you may be able to keep groups together
In a quick look I wasn't able to find anything that would control the groups.

WHen I use your report I don't see the issue.

Is it paging vertically?

How are you exporting?

Are you setting the option to export headers once?

yes..what options were you suggesting to make it work? Please advise.
How are you exporting?

When I exported from the preview, there was an option screen presented.  One of the options pertained to exporting page and group headers.

If you are exporting from code there should be a property to set that controls that.

I'm selecting Microsoft Excel (97-20000) and in the next step, i'm selecting the "Grid Lines" checked.
WHat version of Crystal?

See the attached image for what i am getting as options

Mine is XI R2..

The options you chose doesn't have the "Show Gridlines" checked. It will make it very hard for the users to follow the report.

Can you please attach the excel output also, so i get a feel of how you did?

Thanks a bunch for looking into this issue.
Show Gridlines will not affect the paging.  I don't have FOLIO as a page size option in Excel so the paging is off.

But the data is not legible on the report. If the user gets this report, he would have a hard time formatting it to be able to analyze.
Can we do some width change and yet not let the page breaks repeat the headers?
Are you talking about horizontal or vertical page splits?

You can in my option block choose where the column width are determined.  Use the field headers.

Crystal does not do a good job of exporting to Excel.  There is a document that provides guidance on how to format a report to make exporting better.  However as I recall much of the guidance doesn't really apply to the cross tab and especially to one with 3-levels of grouping.

I'm talking about Horizontal Page splits.. On the report, level 1 repeats whenever a part of level 2 or level3 falls on the next page. Similarly, level1 and level2 repeat when a part of  level3 falls into the next page.
