IE 8 Windows 7 OWA sending error
Hi,
Just got 2 brand new Dell business laptops -windows 7 pro and was testing email for a user in OWA and I never have any issues with it but..... i can receive fine but when I go to reply to the test email I get 0x800705b4 error operation returned because timeout expired. Tried IE9 but its the same. Currently disabling add ons to see what the effect is -but I need the s/mime one otherwise I get the red cross/blank typing area thing. Any ideas?
thanks as always.

Sounds like you were disconnected from exchange. Might be some sort of DNS issue. I would check the error logs on both your server and the workstation and see what it says.

There is no resolution to this problem other than a workaround to install a different OS. Can I please close this one, thanks
WE use OWA with windows 7 all the time... it is more likely some sort of security settings. Is your browser operating in protected mode? Might want to look at any avtive scans you have running. Try it from safe mode and see what the results are.

HI BCipollone - Just received a new windows 7 pro laptop back into the office and took the opportunity to test it -it was in protected mode but still did not work when protected mode was disabled. Got exactly the same error when trying to reply or send an email from OWA - don't know if this makes any difference but its exchange 2003 we are running? thanks again.
