~~URGENT  google page to different sites

A pc in the office is doing this, type in something in google, let's say, cnn. when click on cnn link on google, it takes you to different site.

I use malwarebytes, superantiware to scan, no luck...any ideas?  thx

    Check the hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc. Open it in notepad and see if there is a bunch of junk in there. If do delete it or run WinSock Fix for XP. Also check the internet explorer settings to make sure you do not have a proxy server enabled.

    Accepted Solution

    Try running Hitman Pro and then TDSSkiller to check for a possible rootkit. HitmanPro is good at finding hidden proxies that might not be sitting in your hosts file. TDSSkiller will find a rootkit (infected system file) that could very well be causing the redirect.
