How do you troubleshoot and solve Windows ME stability problems

    Accepted Solution

    You don't.
There are major issues with ME and it should have never been released.
The patches from MS are horrible and don't fix alot of the problems.
Most of the time you will have to reinstall the OS.
I would move off of ME as quickly as possible.

Under you can chose advanced options, and under "On what product do you want to search?" chose Windows Millennium Edition. Type in your issue and click the search button

You will be unable to solve the stability problems (of Win Me) due to the inherent design.
Having said that, and in addition to other OSs, i've continued to run an 'Me' for 10 years or so, although its been a bit of a challenge!   ... and i would also recommend that you move on to a Vista, or Windows 7, when possible.
