How to record Windows screen?

Hi Experts!

Is there any way I can make a recording of the Windows screen? I will have an IT technician help me with the setup of the software, and instead of writing down the steps, i was hoping that i could just record it... and view it later when I need to.

The program has to be concealed so that the tech doesn't know he's being recorded. And if it could start recording whenever there's motion on the screen, that'll be even better.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Look into some of the keylogger programs.  They will do that and are not seen by the users.
Thanks,

Why do you have to conceal it from the tech? If the tech is fine with you writing the steps down, I don't see why they'd object to having the screen recorded.
