Excel 2010 remove 2 middle characters

Hi Gurus,

I have a cell that contains the below data, I need to remove the 4th and 5th numbers from the middle.

Original:   01-1001
Ideal:       01-01

I have 500 cells that I need to fix.

    REPLACE(old_text, start_num, num_chars, new_text)
