Best way to reinstall a domain controller Windows 2008

Hello 2 all experts,

What is the best way to reinstall a secondary domain controller ?
The enviorment is this: Windows 2008 domain, 2 domain controllers, TMG 2010 + Exchange.
Cause: the secondary domain controller is rebooting because of some hardware problems, and i want to replace it with another server.

    You need to clean metadata with ntdsutil, of the failed DC then build your new DC.  Make sure Exchange was not pointing to the failed DC.  I can attach a doc if your unsure on how to clean metadata

    File attached.  When you have done the cleanup run dcdiag /v on the current DC to make sure all is ok.  if you have any errors please let me know.

    The doc relates to Windows 2003 but its same principle with 2008
