Hi!

One of our sharepoint db's is not upgraded after installing the February CU for Sharepoin 2010.

When I run this command: Get-SPDatabase | ?{$_.NeedsUpgrade -eq $true} | Select Name it returns one Name; "WSS_Search".

I then proceed with Get-SPContentDatabase | ?{$_.NeedsUpgrade -eq $true} | Upgrade-SPContentDatabase which returns nothing.

We have tried running the configuration/upgrade wizard but that made no difference. Originally the list of databases requiring an upgrade was longer, but after running the upgrade wizard the only remaining database is "WSS_Search".

How can I upgrade this database?

Hi,

Use the SharePoint Management Shell. don't use the command prompt.

Run this command in SP Mgmt Shell: psconfig.exe –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b –wait –force

I believe this error occured after installing the Sharepoint 2010 February CU.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated :)
1. Reboot the farm.
2. Run the Configuration wizard in all server.

Author

Commented:
I rebooted the farm and ran the configuration wizard. Completed successfully but the status of WSS_Search (SPSearchDatabase) remains "Database is in compatibility range and upgrade is recommended"

Author

Commented:
Is there anything else that can be done to upgrade this database?
FEB CU successfully updated except Search DB.  Check the Search DB permission.

Which permissions are required on the SPSearchDatabase?
