How to remove best malware protection virus

I have a computer that has been infected with this virus and have tried a system restore to multiple dates but the virus still remains.  Looking for any ideas without reformatting the machine.  The computer runs with xp media center 2005.

I wrote some Articles here on EE that will show you how to get rid of this.
With this type of malware, the first step is to stop the "rogue processes" that are running - which will allow "Malwarebytes" to do the clean up for you.

Several other fixes may have to be used, which are in the menu options of RogueKiller:

Just one of the family of rogues.

MalwareBytes as already suggested should remove it.
