I am trying to find some calculators to help me figure out what my sizing needs are going to be for virtualizing my current environment. I have about 100 physical servers, a alot of the have small needs, but some of them have some huge SQL databases running on them and require more power.

Are there any tools or guides out there to get some more concrete data about what I will need for hosts? ( asided from the general 4 VMs per core)

Contact a VMware and they or an authorized partner can perform a virtual assessment for you.  There are 2 versions, a free version and a paid version.  The paid version goes much more in depth.
