SSRS parameter error sporadi

I have a report which group by data based a few parameters. Sporadically the report will give an error when loading the default values:
•      Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Parameter1' is not a valid value.

I assume that the above error could be occurring since it is trying to pass a comma separated parameter string into the dataset query which accepts this parameter.

The same query works fine on the backend and there are no null or blank values in the parameter lookup tables. We are running SQL Server 2005.

Please check the parameter datatype and the acceptance of "," in parameter.

Does the default value always return a value that is in the list of available values. Suppose the available values are
select distinct orderdate from orders
and the default value is
=Today()
Then the default value is invalid on the days that don't have orders (yet).
Could something like this be your problem?

If this doesn't solve it. Could you copy the .rdl file. Then rename the copy to .xml and upload it here. (.rdl is not an allowed type on EE, xml is)

We resolved this by rewriting the logic so there were many fewer multi-select variables.  That corrected the issue.

We resolved ourselves - see prior post.
