I need a previous version of the Acer TravelMate 6460 BIOS
ACER is clueless about why I need this. Basically the TPM forces me to press F1 or F2 at boot so I cannot automatically reboot my machine. I am trying to locate a place where I can download the previous BIOS and flash it.

I am running the latest version: 3.04
I installed it myself but unless I am missing something, I see no backup. What file extension would it create?

If it's there it should be obvious *.wph or *.rom in a folder called backup in the directory you launched Winphlash from. If it's not there it didn't happen.
Is the Vista BIOS any use to you?

No luck with the backup.
I would like to get the BIOS version before 3.04. Do you know where an older BIOS could be located? It is not clear what the ACER people are saying, but could the BIOS be part of the restore disks that came with the machine?

Thanks for your efforts, I came up empty as well. Seems odd that they don't keep older BIOS versions!
Did you upgrade this yourself & if so did you use Phoenix's WinPhlash - if so there's a good chance the previous version was backed up to the root directory before the new version was installed.
