Need a macro to remove TEXT at end of Cell Entry in a column....

Experts,

My data in the column looks like this:

ModificationDateEntity.52
DatacheckEntity.52
lalalalaEntity.52
SampleSampleEntity.52

I need a macro or whatever that will check for the "Entity.52" and simply remove it from the cells that have this entry....

If its easier to copy this column into another column that is "cleansed" that works for me....

Thank you for your expertise.

Are you trying to remove the text .52?

why don't you do a simple replace?

Replace all .52 with ""

Additional INFO!!!!   the end NUMBER on "Entity.52" ....INCREMENTS....and so its not always 52 as in my example.... I think it can go to 3 digits as well.....sorry for not explaining...

A quick, macro-less way to do this is to select the column in question, then initiate a Find and Replace.

Find what: Entity.52
Replace with:

Note that the Replace with: above is intentionally blank.

With the new criteria (that I see) in mind, use this:

Find what: Entity.*
Replace with:
0
