How to rename a mailbox database in exchange 2010 via the ems

I need to rename my exchange mailbox database from the default "Mailbox Database 1231483372" which is located on server "exch1" to the name of "db1" on the same server "exch1".   I've tried set-mailboxdatabase -identity exch1\mailbox database 1231483372 -name db1    with no success.  Information on the process on the net sucks.
