Can't find the instance I just installed.

Hi,

I just installed the Developer edition of SQL Server 2008, and I can't find the default instance (MSSQLSERVER). SQL Management Studio can't see it either, yet it can see the SQLExpress instance.

I am running this on the local machine (Windows 7 Ultimate).

IN the connect to server dialog instead of selecting browse for more as you have done above manually type in your computername which should be the the instance name of the sql server developer edition instance.
