I installed the eclipse PHP package (helios) on Windows Vista 64 bit

When trying to launch eclipse via the following command:

eclipse -vm "C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.5.0/bin/javaw.exe"

I get the following error (see attached screenshot error1.png)

When I just try to launch it normally I get error2.png

are you running matching 32 or 64 bit versions of Java and Eclipse?

    Accepted Solution

OK so in case this helps anyone: I had the correct java version installed but it was still throwing that error. Then I moved the jre hat I had into the folder that was pointed out in error2.png and suddenly it started working without me having to configure anything else anywhere ... it's like the eclipse.ini is being completely ignored, but anyway it's working now.
