How Do I login from Ubuntu pc to Windows Active directory

Dear Hello,

I could manage to join the Ubuntu pc into Windows 2003 active directory successfully by using centrify , but Now I can not login to either domain controller or local pc from GUI. There was no any error message pop up at the login process.

What could be the reason ??

Please help regarding.

1. Can you login as local account with "sudo" privilege?

If yes, then login and check /var/log/messages and /var/log/secure for the login messages for clues.

Besides, since you using commerical product, Centrify, have you try to check on there support website to look for clue to get support?

As my experience, you might want to check with Kerbos setting and credential.

Centrify did not work for me. Now I am trying to join ubuntu pc into Windows 2003 using Openwise. So far it also did not work for me. I am getting an error message when I issue the " domainjoin-cli join ecomoffice.lk Administrator" command in the shell.

I followed the instruction give in the following link.

6. Make sure NTP service is running on the domain controller.
10. Disable SELinux
and verify the outbound port
domainjoin-cli join --details firewall likewisedemo.com
