USB drive issue: VMWare with Ubuntu as virtual machine

Hi there,

I'm not sure if I configured VMWare and Ubuntu correct.

I installed VMWare (Server 1.0.10) on XP Pro SP3 32-bit.
And I got a Ubuntu virtual machine (Ubuntu Desktop 10.04.1
32-bit).  I would like to use USB jump drive on the
Ubuntu but I'm not sure if I configured VMWare or Ubuntu

When I'm in Ubuntu,  VM-> Remote Devices -> USB Devices
show "Empty".  What should I do?

Any opionion is very much appreciated.

You have installed Server on an unsupported OS; see pg. 25 of the Server User Guide for supported OSs. That in & of itself may be your issue as unsuportes OSs can cause 'bugginess'.
