how do i add external harddisk to a guest hyper-v machine ?

i have hyper-v server that has external hard disk drive attached Physical to him,

i want to add that drive to a guest machine that this server host , how do i add the drive to be useble and visible in the guest virtual machine ? i cant see the option for that...

    Accepted Solution

    In host server storage managment make external hadr disk "offline".
    Stop Virtual Machine. In properties, add physical hard disk.
    Start virtual machine.
    Attaching Physical Hard Disks to Hyper-V VMs
