Does using XAMPP use port 80 on Windows?

if so, how can I change the port?

    Accepted Solution

    Yes,  by default it uses 80 for Apache and the other default ports for the other services that it starts. (Tomcat at 8080, MySql at 3306, etc.)

    These can be administered as they are ordinarily administered.  So for Apache, you can change the httpd.conf file Listen 80 to  Listen xx where xx = your port number.
