Hide email addresses in distribution lists in Exchange Server 2007

We use distribution lists however I want to conceal the individual email addresses so that a recipient cannot click on and expand the distribution list email address to reveal the individual recipients.  Is there a way of achieving this please?  Thanks.

Don't think so. The only thing I can think of is to send to a "generic" address, such as Sales_internal. Then has it forwarded to the Sales group/distribution address which contains everyone from Sales.

You may not able to achieve this directly if you are asking about some particular DLs...

However if you are talking about all DLs create a registry entry to all mechine throgh GPO with Outlk11.adm name and import to GPO and can be applied... so none will be able to expand any of DLs from Outlook

KEYNAME HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options \Mail
VALUENAME DisableDLExpansion

and you can achive it in aother way if you want particular DLs by creating Public Folder (mail enabled) with the required DL name and Group with diffrent name with list of users and enable forwarding from Public folder to DL (you can keep copy if you want)

for eg: if you want Dl name HR.. create PF named HR@domain.com and DL name HR_DL@domain.com and enable forwarding....
