SBS 2003 Failed to Start after Updates

I have an HP Server running SBS 2003. It was recently all patched and has been working fine for about a month. This morning the Server needed to be restarted and it said there were updates to install. So the updates were installed during the shut down. When the server rebooted it fails to find an operating system.
The RAID controller does not say there are any problems with the disks so I assume the updates have damaged the boot up.
Safe mode etc dont work.
What is the alternative to either running a repair using the install disk or reloading the entire operating system from scratch.
Thanks

if fat32 or NTFS pop in the boot disk and look for a repair option (repair in dos and not a GUI)
once in there youll need to log onto the partiation
then type help should display an entire tree of cmds

we are looking for the one with the term "repair boot or rebuild boot"

sorry bit rusty dont use dos much anymore, but i had the same problem once took me 2 days but i eventually sorted it using boot disk and dos repair

if your using raid make sure the raid spam is working above optimal

Contact MS...  support calls involving updates are no charge.  They may ask for a CC number, but the charge will be negated if the update is the issue.
