Lync Server and Exchange 2010

I will be installing Lync Serve to go along with our new Exchange server for IM. What I would like to now on what server would Lync Serve should be installed on. Our Exchange server or our application server. Thanks....

    Check out the planning tool from MS.

    I would advise against installing it on your exchange box.
