You need to review the install script.  Does the web app sp2010testenvvm exist?  Is there a root site collection?

You've already created your web app, right?

Author

Commented:
I have three listed web applications:

sharepoint - 80                                     port - 80
sharepoint central administartion v4     port - 9999
sp2010testenvvm                                 port- 43310

I just created the sp2010testenvvm web app, i didnt know I needed to have the web app names that. Thats the name of the VM I created.

Ok, I'll just tell you this....

Whatever URL you are tying to restore to, that web app HAS to exist beforehand, or the restore will fail.  If you are trying to restore to http://sp2010testenvvm, then it must exist on port 80.

What is the URL of the SharePoint - 80 web app above?  You can find it on the Alternate Access Mappings page in Central Admin.

Author

Commented:
when I installed the SP site it gave me that name by default to access the site from a clients web browser. Its the server name. Im looking for the alternate access mapings in central admin now.

it seems like the name should have not been the issue, what do you think?

Author

Commented:
although I created a new website with the full name, it mapped it to port 20637. when I issue the command for the install I use:
c:\sp_productivity_hub  .\install http://sp2010testenvvm

Author

the url: http://sp2010testenvvm is in the default zone. should I change it to Intranet?

Author

how can I apply that to a site?

Author

seems like it may be a permissions issue. The site keeps asking me to login.

It turns out it was my fault the PH was not loading correctly. I had not extracted the downloads correctly. Once I downloaded the files correctly the problem was solved. I really apreciate all of your efforts to help me ACH1LLES, you went above and beyond what I've gotten for here before. Thanks again.

Author

Commented:
The issue was on my end because I didnt have the files extracted correctly./ I awarded point based on the fact the ACH1LLES put in so much effort for helping me. He has good solutions that may be helpful to others.
