Do you have enough free disk space? If you are trying the snapshot while the VM is on, try to stop it? Do you have errors in the event log?

I may have answered my own question here, but it would appear that I have a secondary IDE connection that is a PHYSICAL drive and that appears to be whats preventing the snapshot. Can anyone verify this for me?

Yes, this could be the case. Try to detach the pass-through disk, do the snapshot and attach it again. You need to shutdown the VM to do that.

You are correct. I disconnected the passthrough disk and took the machine down and it would in fact take the snapshot. Thank you.
