Hiding taskbar

Is it possible to hide (not autohide) the Windows 7 taskbar and call it up by keyboard shortcut?

I have an application that I often click near the bottom of its window and this usually engages the auto hide taskbar so it pops up and gets in the way.

There is no way by default, but you can use a program called TASKBAR eliminator. You can then bring the taskbar back with a shortcut command of ALT+T

Here is the link
