the phone was the only place where i had my contacts. It was an unplanned reformatting of the computer. Any chance that it is still somewhere? There is nothing to undo at both the devices.<br />

Ah man .. that's bad .. look into iTunes contacts , do you see anything in there ? any contact transferred to it ?
