Off the top of my head, I can't imagine not needing Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for most people for document manipulation. &nbsp;I'm a big fan of using DropBox and DropDav to move files back and forth from the iPad without needing to get iTunes involved too. &nbsp;Evernote is also useful for clipping etc.<br />
<br />
iBooks is a must for PDF reading and annotation. &nbsp;For real markup-based annotations of PDF, look into smartNote

We are mainly a project management firm, however there are many different departments that will be using these ipads. For example we have marketing, accounting, IT, engineering, etc staff on payroll. <br />

Top free and paid Ipad apps for the business environment

iPad is an iOS-based line of tablet computers built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard. The iPad includes built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity on select models.
