How do I troubleshoot why email is not going out on our Windows 2003 server?

We are using a "relay" server:

We have all the credentials, etc.

I can email from my local development environment and it works.

I deploy the same code to our testing web server and it does not work.

Are the messages showing up in the holding queue in your Exchange server? When you email out, do you ever receive a "not deliverable" message?

It was a firewall issue, which we found right after I posted here on EE.
