Excel hyperlinks opening in Internet Explorer

Hello all.  I have a spreadsheet with many links to pictures within the same folder.  When I click on the link, the photo opens in Internet Explorer.  Not the preferred viewer, but works.  Anyways, I copied all the files to a CD, and sent it to a coworker.  When they open the excel sheet, Internet Explorer opens up, but only opens the About Blank page.  What is the issue here?  Is it something with the links?  I played the CD on my computer and it worked fine?

Thanks,

Mike

Also, any way to get it to open in Photo Gallery or Photo and Fax viewer?

Just found out that both machines have IE8, just one machine is XP and the other is Windows 7, so I am thinking it is a Win7 thing.

I dont believe so.

The "link" is actually a hyperlink. (you can have links to other workbooks.)

Thats how you inserted them, and they will open in your default browser. (Firefox on my box)
Funny thing is if I copy files to desktop or even a thumb drive, then it works fine. Seems to only do it on CD. I remember a setting on IE7 about Active Content from a CD, but couldn't find anything like that in IE8.
