Just found out that both machines have IE8, just one machine is XP and the other is Windows 7, so I am thinking it is a Win7 thing.<br />

The &quot;link&quot; is actually a hyperlink. (you can have links to other workbooks.) <br />

Thats how you inserted them, and they will open in your default browser. (Firefox on my box)

Funny thing is if I copy files to desktop or even a thumb drive, then it works fine. Seems to only do it on CD. I remember a setting on IE7 about Active Content from a CD, but couldn't find anything like that in IE8.

Hello all. &nbsp;I have a spreadsheet with many links to pictures within the same folder. &nbsp;When I click on the link, the photo opens in Internet Explorer. &nbsp;Not the preferred viewer, but works. &nbsp;Anyways, I copied all the files to a CD, and sent it to a coworker. &nbsp;When they open the excel sheet, Internet Explorer opens up, but only opens the About Blank page. &nbsp;What is the issue here? &nbsp;Is it something with the links? &nbsp;I played the CD on my computer and it worked fine? &nbsp;<br />

Hello all.  I have a spreadsheet with many links to pictures within the same folder.  When I click on the link, the photo opens in Internet Explorer.  Not the preferred viewer, but works.  Anyways, I copied all the files to a CD, and sent it to a coworker.  When they open the excel sheet, Internet Explorer opens up, but only opens the About Blank page.  What is the issue here?  Is it something with the links?  I played the CD on my computer and it worked fine?
