Need a separate subnet for access point

Hi experts - I have a small network running a subnet 192.168.0.1-100.  I need to set up a network for guests that should be separate from the main network so the guests cannot snoop around.  Security is a concern but it does not need to be like fort knox.

I have a smal dlink access point.  Dhcp and dns c comes from a windows server and it connects to the internet with a router-default gateway is 192.168.0.1.

Is what I am trying to do possible?...I am hoping I can set up a different subnet like 192.168.1.1-50.

You can't do it with hardware you have.  You need a switch that you can create VLAN's with.  That'd be the most secure way.

But, if you want, you can use DDWRT to flash your current routers firmware.  It can create separate guest networks, wireless and wired.
