The scanner feature of an HPC6180 [wireless] printer stopped working.  Worked fine before.  Did not install new software recently.  Using Windows 7 64bit.  Dowloaded HP's Diiagnostic utility, but it  keeps crashing.  Disabled AVG.   Please advise.

can you still make an off-line copy?  then the scanner is still ok
you can try a system restore to a date it worked OK
otherwise, test it on another PC, to be sure if it is still ok
