From the log, the problem may be caused by Windows Index feature. Try to rebuild index data base:

1. Click on the Start Button, type "Indexing Options" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter.
2. In the "Index these locations" section, remove all the Internet Explorer History items. Click the "Advanced" button.
3. Click on the "Index Settings" tab.
4. Under Troubleshooting, click the "Rebuild" button.
ps. If that doesn't work you may have to re-install Windows Search 4.0

Try to schedule a chkdsk according to the link below.

According to eracet, it says:-

"Ok possible solved ( needs more testing )
After troubleshooting many things, I decided to do a scandisk (error check) or whatever Win7 calls it.
Ran it on reboot w/o windows, it found 6 unreadable errors, some routing errors and various other errors.
After that finished I tried doing windows update and installing SP1 update again.
This time it went , and after restarting things seemed faster and more smooth."
