Run the script without specifying the parameters, then fill them in as it asks.

still get the same error
now, this may make a difference, the customer is not using public folders yet so I can delete them if needed. would that be quicker?

no public folders? what are you trying to replicate then? If it's 2010 to 2010, public folders aren't needed for anything other than shared folders. With 2003 you needed them for Free/Busy information and such.

this exchange 2010 has issues and it was just installed from an exchange 2003 server
under the disconnected mailbox, I have a whole slew of users showing up there. I believe they showed up after I migrated from 2003 to 2010. when I try to remove the mailbox role, I get the following error which I think relates to these user account showing up in the disconnected mailbox
----------------------
Mailbox Role Prerequisites
Failed
Error:
Uninstall cannot continue. Database 'Mailbox Database': This mailbox database contains one or more mailboxes, mailbox plans, archive mailboxes, or arbitration mailboxes. To get a list of all mailboxes in this database, run the command Get-Mailbox -Database <Database ID>. To get a list of all mailbox plans in this database, run the command Get-MailboxPlan. To get a list of archive mailboxes in this database, run the command Get-Mailbox -Database <Database ID> -Archive. To get a list of all arbitration mailboxes in this database, run the command Get-Mailbox -Database <Database ID> -Arbitration. To disable a non-arbitration mailbox so that you can delete the mailbox database, run the command Disable-Mailbox <Mailbox ID>. To disable an archive mailbox so you can delete the mailbox database, run the command Disable-Mailbox <Mailbox ID> -Archive. Arbitration mailboxes should be moved to another server; to do this, run the command New-MoveRequest <parameters>. If this is the last server in the organization, run the command Disable-Mailbox <Mailbox ID> -Arbitration -DisableLastArbitrationMailboxAllowed to disable the arbitration mailbox. what are the 3 accounts that you found? Are you saying that the SMTP, System Attendant and such mailboxes are showing up in 2010 as disconnected?

You can delete the mailboxes with the Shell

I figured out how to get rid of them - I had so many minor issues that I don't know what I did to fix them. In the end, everything worked out.
