Eclipse / CFBuilder - Keep Views Open

This is driving me nuts..

I have started working on CFBuilder (Eclipse based IDE), and so far love it.. but one frustration is when I open a view, such as Navigator or Dataview, then click in the editor to do some coding, the views close.. Sometimes I need to view the contents of the views while coding..

I have looked all through Preferences, search Google but can't find any option or mention of this.

Many Thanks

Found my problem with the views closing..

I had minimized the views.. this allows me to open the view, but it minimizes again when I take focus off it.  If I 'restore' the view, it opens and stays open.. To restore the view I just needed to click on the panes button just above each view.

(not for points ...)

Hi Jason, you might also ask on adobe's CFBuilder community forum too.  I say that only  because I don't know how many CFBuilder gurus there are in the CF Zones. I still use CFEclipse myself :).

Best of Luck!

thanks for the pointer _agx_.. will give it  a try.. is CFEclipse all that different to CFBuilder.. I might even check out CFEclipse.. I didn't know there was a difference.. thanks again!
Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way to say thank you for being a part of the community.

Honestly I haven't tried CFBuilder.  I was already using CFEclipse when it came out.  Since adobe had released some nice extensions for CFEclipse/CF8 I didn't care to switch.

From what I understand the two are similar. As a commercial IDE I'd expect CFBuilder might have a few more features.  Though there is some debate about that :)
Great! And thanks for posting the solution :)
