Iphone stops syncing with exchange, but only rarely

Okay this is a weird one . . . Our organization has multiple users that use the iphone to connect to exchange.  We have Exchange 2003 SP2 BTW.  One user in has a problem syncing their calendar to their iphone.  Thing is though, it works 99 times out of a hundred or so, but reliably fails sometime in between.  When this happens, the appointment in question won't sync with his iphone, and he gets a 500 "internal error" when he tries to access it with OWA.  They open up fine in Outlook though.  The events are created in Outlook (2007).  A bunch of things have been tried . . . they have changed this user over to a new verizon iphone.  Same problem, so we know it's neither ATT, nor verizon.  They tried asking him not to create appointments from the phone and to use Outlook and that didn't work.  The crazy thing is that it's happens so sporadically.  His mailbox isn't the largest in the company, and he doesn't have the highest number of items in it as compared to other employees who DON'T have the problem.

I wondered if it could be an error in his mailbox.  He uses it a TON, but I haven't seen anything on the event logs to indicate that.  Just wondering if y'all might have any ideas what could be causing this, and a way to fix it, or even a place to start?

P.S.
I HAVE seen activesync errors in the logs for that user btw.  There is one other user that has WAY more errors, but doesn't have the same problem.

Ideally if only One user is affected, Active Sync setting should be fine.
I beleive it should be the problem with the Mailbox. What's the Mailbox Size ? Is the issue only with Syncing Calendar? How about Emails and Contacts ?

Best and Harmless option would Moving the Mailbox to a different Store...!!

I cannot find the exact activesync errors because the logging only shows a day's worth of data unfortunately (I changed that though).  I seem to remember it had to do with not being able to connect to the DB or something like that.  As soon as I see one, I'll post it.

with regard to moving the mailbox, that's exactly how I've fixed corruption in the past, so interesting you mentioned it SujitN.

I guess that should fix it.
Else, Export the PST's, disable Mailbox, Create new Mailbox & Import PST's... :)

@shreedhar, taht was somewhat helpful.  The fast majority of that article assumes that all iphones are having the sync problem.  It's only one that has it, and only once in a hundred calendar item creations or so.  So it's VERY sporadic.  The isinteg thing repairs the database.  That's a TON of downtime and work just to help one user.  You can accomplish the same thing by moving the user's mailbox out of the store.  For good measure I'm going to move it back in but the move process itself repairs the database according to microsoft.  Hopefully that will resolve the problem.

Thank you!
