Switching from DW 8 to Cs5

We have recently got the New CS5 suite .. and I use the new fireworks flash PS AI and others .. but When i opened the New DW i saw it no longer has LAYOUT view ..

I have been building sites using that mode since Dreamweaver 4 so MY Question is .. or even advise .. what would be a good approach for me to use the new cs5 .. in 8 you can draw your table .. and draw the cells move them where ever you want with ease .. and I am not sure how to accomplish the same things in cs5 without LAYOUT view ..

I apreesh any advise .. thanks

Hi WavesWebDesign,

Layout View and drawing tables is gone as of CS4 and that's because the newer standards for design state that you should not use tables for layout anymore.  Divs and CSS has replaced that method.

If you are not comfortable with creating CSS sites and still want to use CS5, you can still create your initial template in either Fireworks or Photoshop and export it directly to Dreamweaver if you have the CS5 versions of those programs in the suite.  Otherwise, my recommendation would be to not upgrade until you are comfortable with CSS-based design.

Layout mode was eliminated starting with Dreamweaver CS4.

If you wanted more, ask for it. Also, this is a completely correct answer and does not deserve a C grade
