Hi,

I can create a network location to my sharepoint instance but how can I create a network location so that the user doesn't have to navigate through tons of folders.  For example, I have a document library called:

Public on the main site and in there is a user folder.  I would liek kto create the network share sot hat it goes straight to that location so they can save in there.

Any help is appreciated!

Navigate to that folder.  Choose to "Open in Explorer" from the actions menu.  Now you know the path to make the network location.

So you don't see a button in the ribbon, under the Library tab, that says "Open with Explorer"??  It's in the Connect & Export section.

Ok, just looking in wrong place.  So it shows in explorer as:

http://url:8020 > Public so would it be http://url:8020/public

?  And from this could I do:  http://url:8020/public/user where user is a folder in the library

Do you have the web client service running on your machine?

It should be \\url:8020\public
