Microsoft Excel 2007

The file size seems to double when saving files in excel 2007.  Is there any way to compact these files programmatically.  Now my files are to big to send through our mail servers.

    Can you try saving the file in a different format? When youi save the document, choose the save as option and then choose another format to see if that reduces the size.

    We have a mixture of users using all different versions of excel.

    Do you have Winzip or Compressed Folders?

    zip/compress and send?

    put file on shared drive/drop box?

    post to sharepoint website?

    post to googleDocs?
